I was raised in Santa Rosa, CA by two of the hardest-working people I know;  my parents, who had me young and gave me everything they could. I didn’t always know how to deal with what life handed us, but music gave me something I couldn’t get anywhere else: peace, understanding, a place to breathe. By the time I was four, I was singing before I knew how to say what I felt. I grew up with Britney and Christina, but I found myself in my grandma’s kitchen, listening to BB King and Etta James while we cooked dinner. That was the first time I heard music that didn’t just sound good, it felt like home. Since then, I’ve taught myself guitar and piano by ear, wrote everything I needed to say into songs, and played anywhere that would have me. From bars in Tahoe to recording in Nashville, to finally finding creative freedom in a little cottage in Oregon, music’s been the one constant. It’s not about chasing perfection. It’s about chasing truth. I make music that’s gritty, soulful, and full of feeling. Rock, blues, folk, and everything in between; the kind of sound that builds and breaks and leaves something behind.
